What is Strudel?
Strudel is a language for composing music simply by writing! ✏️
You don't need to buy an instrument or download any app. You just have to go to the website https://strudel.cc and start writing.
What we learn (rhythms, harmony, melody, sound synthesis...) you can apply in any other environment, as musical concepts do not change.
Writing 🤔?
Yes, that's right. Go to the website and type sound("metal"). Then press Play ▶️. You will hear a metallic sound and see how the instruction repeats infinitely.
Why write?
Because it's the fastest way to start learning music. We can create music from minute 1 without needing an instrument 🥁 or installing and learning to use a complex program. 💻🤔
For example, these 3 lines create a rhythm that appears in many Pop/Rock songs. We will see them in detail in the first lesson, so you don't need to understand them now.
